Option 3 - College Faculty Certification

For Teaching Grades 8-12

You are a candidate for this route if you:

Have a minimum of a master's degree in the academic subject for which certification is sought; and
Have five years of full-time teaching experience or its equivalent (90 semester credit hours) at an accredited institution of higher education in the academic subject for which certification is sought.

Additional Information: A candidate meeting these requirements receives a Statement of Eligibility. After obtaining employment, the candidate receives a one-year Provisional Certificate. Upon successful completion of KTIP during the first year of teaching, the teacher receives the Professional Certificate.
